Our Family

We are an energetic and busy family of five, plus our pups!.   We have had many dogs in our lives and have fallen in love with the Portuguese Water Dogs and Lagotto Romagnolo.  Living in the rolling hills of Southern Wisconsin, we also have chickens, pot bellied pigs, and cats!

We chose the Shooting Star logo because we live out in the country and love having bonfires at night, watching the amazing sky with all of it's shooting stars. The dog in the logo is the silhouette of our beloved Violet.

We are very active with our dogs. They have five acres to run around around and play - Their own private dog park!  Each dog is different, but I think our dogs give us the best of both worlds. They are not "hyper", but they are energetic. They are fun, playful and super smart. They are amazing with our kids, are super snuggly and sweet, and always up for an adventure!

In addition to being loving companions, I also enjoy training and showing my dogs.  We compete in Conformation, Tracking, Obedience, Rally, Water Work and Scentwork. Our dogs are therapy dogs, visiting nursing homes and schools on a regular basis.
